The Vision
A regenerated hub for sport, creativity and community connection at Byron Recreation Ground.
Byron Recreation CIC exists to transform a neglected community asset into a thriving centre for local life. We are not simply taking over a building — we are stewarding a place with deep roots in the community, unlocking its potential through careful restoration, sustainable governance and programmes that put people first. Asset-locked and community-led, every step we take is designed to deliver lasting benefit for generations to come.
A full regeneration of Byron Recreation Ground — from forgotten to flourishing.
Our masterplan sets out a phased programme to restore the pavilion, deliver a MUGA alongside 5-a-side football artificial grass pitches, and create welcoming spaces for creativity, wellbeing and community connection — all governed by a Community Interest Company committed to public benefit.
